Just wanted to share a couple photos from our Pyramid Letterpress booth at Artscape this weekend (taken by Steve)!

Here's a shot of the whole crew (minus Steve). From left to right is Amelia, me, Melanie, Moira and Sarah:

Here's Moira, Amelia and me, as we're hustling to finish our booth set up:

Links Links Links

I realized that many of our regular letterpressers have websites, blogs or etsy sites that show their letterpress work (along with other stuff), so I decided to compile a list. Feel free to check out what everyone's been up to in and out of the studio! This list is by no means definitive - if you're a letterpresser at Pyramid and have a blog/site/etsy, please let me know!

In the studio...

Amelia Smith of Amelia Irene Design usually prints on her tabletop at home but sometimes comes to Pyramid to print larger things on the Vandercooks. I bumped into her today as she was preparing for her bridal showcase this coming Sunday.

A poster she printed:

And below are photos of some pieces of a set of wedding stationery that she's featuring.

The invitation:

A table number (still needs to be trimmed):

The thank you card:

I love the color she used. It makes me think of drizzled chocolatey swirls! Come to think of it, it'd look great on a cake as well!

For more info about Amelia and her showcase, check out her website: www.ameliairene.com.

2011 Pyramid Atlantic Letterpress Calendar

I've finally crunched all the numbers and it looks like this year's Letterpress Calendar fundraiser project raised over $1,500 for Pyramid! The calendar (edition of 100) sold out in less than two weeks after its debut at this year's Book Arts Fair.

Since I haven't posted any photos of the calendar on this blog yet, here we go...

These photos were taken by Alyson Hurt (January designer):

Here are some photos of our assembly party taken by Alyson, Erin Brophy (February designer) and myself:

And lastly, a little video that Bridget Stoyko took while we were printing the second color of her March design:

Thanks again to everyone that participated:

  • Calendar designers: Alyson Hurt, Erin Brophy, Bridget Stoyko, Sarah Hanks, Matt Hyson, Hadiya Williams, Sara Shaffer, Erica Schuetz, Moira McCauley, Melanie Karlins, Tess Sammarco, Amelia Smith and Sarah Noreen
  • Paper cutters/assemblers/ribbon tiers: Patricia Lee, Anne Clewall, Jocelyn Chiu, Beck Levy, Megha Even

Stay tuned for next year's calendar!
